New Gallery

Tied in with moving, we threw a “Farewell to 4047” party at our old house on the 31st. The turnout wasn’t huge, but we still had a good time and the people we really wanted there were. I have the pictures from my digital camera up and will add more when we finally get Emily’s film developed. There is a link on the menu, otherwise, click here to see the pictures.

We Finally Moved!

We finally did it, we’ve moved from the old townhouse and into a new one. The new place is smaller, but we like it a lot. We’re still working on getting everything ironed out with internet service and stuff like that and we have a little bit of stuff left to move from the old townhouse still, but we should have that done within a week or so. I’m working on getting everyone I can think of the new phone number and address, if you haven’t heard from me and want the info, email me. Our old phone number will work for 3 months also if you want to leave a message there.

New Posting System

Ok, although I don’t post constantly, all the problems with blogger lately have made it even less often. I stumbled across a new system for posting called greymatter. Everything runs locally and it seems much more customizable because it is local. This is the first test of posting to my site, hopefully I don’t kill everything off. If you want to get to the old posts I did, they are available on the archive link on the menu (or by just clicking archive).

Weed Man

Ok, last night I got a call from the “Weed Man” whoever that is… we cracked up when we saw it on the caller id so I took a picture of it with my digital camera. My roommate answered, they asked if my roommate was me and when he said no, they just said thanks and hung up… Michael called back but nobody answered… curious huh? The number is pixelized to protect the “innocent”…

Cancellation

It looks like we won’t be going to Vanilla Ice after all but I still have the time off. I think I’ll use it to start preparing for the packing fest we’re going to be going through so we can move. Speaking of moving, we are pretty much guaranteed to have the place we applied at, she just needs to verify our employment and since we both work where we said… no problems are forseen.

Also, we have decided on our vacation time, now the locations need to be planned. We will be terrorizing the East Coast from June 8th through the 18th. I can’t wait…

Between our season tickets and the fact that most of the away games are relatively close, we’re going to hit most of the games… we won’t be going to the New Jersey game and the Toronto and Buffalo games are still up in the air. We will be missing the away Nashville and Milwaukee games due to our vacation. April 5th is just too far away!

More Trips

Michael and I came up with a few more trips to take this year along with our trip east. First, I know everyone reading this will be jealous, but we’re going to see the one and only Vanilla Ice in concert on March 1st. Should be… interesting. I’m hoping for some good old fashioned Ice Ice Baby. Our other probable trip will be to sunny Toledo, Ohio for the second Gathering of the Juggalos. The Gathering is basically a three day Insane Clown Posse fan convention. We wished we went to the one last year and Toledo isn’t that far to drive. The Gathering is happening July 13th – 15th.

I’m Behind… What’s New?

Here is another posting of more than one thing covering a good chunk of time because I’m still to lazy to update on a regular basis. One day… one day…

First: I have uploaded pictures from New Years Eve and linked it on the Photo Galleries menu.

Second: On the 13th we went to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and took a bunch of pictures that are also linked on the Photo Galleries menu.

Third: This is just silly, but there is a program online at Stor Entertainment that lets you make little cartoon people. I got bored and made the residents of 4047 past and present and put them on the 4047 townhouse tour page that has never actually become a tour page.

Last: Our vacation plans have changed a bit. We’re talking about just renting a big conversion van to drive east and stay in hotels instead… the RV idea sounded fun, but the more we thought about it, the better a hotel room sounded. Of course, we still don’t have anything concrete, maybe we’ll get around to planning soon.

Christmas Party

I whipped up a page for the pictures from our “Mary X-Mas” Christmas party we had on Saturday. The turnout wasn’t as big as halloween but was a steady sized group. We didn’t take nearly as many pictures this time either for some reason. I added a link to the pictures in the Photo Galleries section on the left.

Bizzar Bizaar

Last night Michael and I (each word is a seperate pic) went to the Insane Clown Posse show… it was a blast! Nashville Pussy opened and were pretty much booed, flipped off, and had stuff thrown at them the whole set. Suicidal Tendencies was next and their show was pretty fun… I hadn’t seen them before but it was entertaining… Confrontation Camp was also listed to be there but wasn’t… we didn’t mind though, the show was 4 hours as it was. When ICP opened, the place blew up. They did a good selection of music from most of the different cds and very little that I didn’t recognise. We left there pretty well covered in Faygo and I came away with a bottle off the stage. Next time they’re in the area, we’re going again for sure.
